Live Bots 365 supports AI assistants that can converse in multiple languages. This is essential for businesses that serve diverse customer bases or operate in multilingual markets. Your assistant can be configured to detect the language the caller is speaking and respond in that same language — all within the same call.
Language support is powered by the underlying AI model, which has strong capabilities across dozens of languages. However, the quality of the conversation depends on the language — major languages like Spanish, French, German, Portuguese, and Mandarin are very well supported, while less common languages may have lower accuracy.
Configuring Language Settings
In your assistant's configuration, set the primary language. This is the language the assistant will use by default and the language your system prompt should be written in.
Toggle on any additional languages you want the assistant to support. The assistant will automatically detect and switch to these languages if the caller speaks them.
Select a voice that supports your target languages. Not all voices support all languages — check the voice library for language compatibility. Some voices are specifically designed for non-English languages and will sound more natural than English voices attempting to speak other languages.
If you want the assistant to explicitly acknowledge its language capabilities, include a note in your system prompt: 'You can speak English and Spanish. If the caller speaks Spanish, respond in Spanish throughout the conversation.'
Supported Languages
The following languages are supported with high quality. Additional languages may work but with varying accuracy:
