An AI Assistant is the core entity in Live Bots 365. It is a fully configurable voice agent that conducts real phone conversations on your behalf — answering questions, following scripts, booking appointments, and taking actions — all without human involvement.
What Makes Up an Assistant?
The instructions that define the assistant's persona, goals, tone, and boundaries.
The text-to-speech voice the assistant uses — choose from dozens of built-in options or clone a custom voice.
Optional documents the assistant can reference to answer specific questions accurately.
Functions the assistant can call during a live conversation, such as booking appointments or sending SMS.
The opening greeting the assistant delivers when a call connects.
The primary language the assistant speaks, with support for 100+ languages and regional accents.
Inbound vs. Outbound Assistants
Assistants can be used in two contexts. An inbound assistant is assigned to a phone number and answers calls that come in to that number. An outbound assistant is used in campaigns to call leads from a list. You can configure the same assistant for both purposes, or create separate assistants optimized for each use case.
How Many Assistants Can I Create?
The number of assistants you can create depends on your plan. Most plans allow multiple assistants, enabling you to run different agents for different departments, products, or campaigns simultaneously.
