In Live Bots 365, a lead is a contact record that represents a person your AI assistant will call as part of an outbound campaign. Each lead contains at minimum a phone number, and can optionally include additional information such as a name, email address, and custom data fields that the assistant can reference during the conversation.

Leads are the fuel for your outbound campaigns. The quality of your lead data directly affects the quality of your campaign results — clean, accurate phone numbers with relevant context (like the lead's name and reason for the call) will produce significantly better outcomes than raw number lists with no additional information.

Lead Data Fields

FieldRequired?Notes
Phone NumberYesMust be in international format (e.g., +15551234567). Calls will fail without a valid number.
First NameNoWhen provided, the assistant can address the caller by name, which improves engagement.
Last NameNoOptional but useful for personalization and record-keeping.
EmailNoUsed for sending booking confirmations or follow-up emails if configured.
Custom FieldsNoYou can add any additional data fields relevant to your campaign — account numbers, appointment dates, product names, etc. The assistant can reference these during the call.

Lead Statuses

As a campaign progresses, each lead's status is updated to reflect where it is in the calling process. Understanding these statuses helps you track campaign progress and identify leads that need attention.

PendingThe lead has not yet been called. It is in the queue waiting for the campaign to reach it.
CallingThe platform is currently attempting to dial this lead.
CompletedThe call was connected and the conversation ran to completion.
No AnswerThe call was not answered. The lead will be retried based on your campaign's retry settings.
VoicemailThe call reached voicemail. A message was left (or the call was dropped) based on your voicemail configuration.
FailedThe call could not be placed — typically due to an invalid phone number or a carrier error.
Do Not CallThe lead has been marked as DNC and will not be called again.
