Phone numbers in Live Bots 365 are rented on a monthly basis. You can search for available numbers by area code, country, or number type, purchase them instantly, and assign them to assistants — all from within the platform. There is no need to work with a separate telephony provider.
Purchasing a Number
From your dashboard, click 'Phone Numbers' in the left sidebar.
This opens the number search interface.
Filter by country, number type (local, toll-free, mobile), and area code. Enter a specific area code if you need a number in a particular region.
Browse the available numbers and click 'Select' next to the one you want. You can see whether each number supports voice, SMS, or both.
Review the monthly rental cost and click 'Confirm Purchase.' The number is immediately added to your account and ready to use.
Assigning a Number to an Assistant
After purchasing a number, you need to assign it to an assistant for inbound calls. Go to the number's settings page and select the assistant you want to handle incoming calls. From that point forward, any call to that number will be answered by the assigned assistant. You can reassign a number to a different assistant at any time.
Releasing a Number
If you no longer need a number, you can release it from the Phone Numbers section. Releasing a number stops the monthly rental charge immediately. However, once released, the number is returned to the pool and may be assigned to another customer — you cannot reclaim it later. Make sure you genuinely no longer need the number before releasing it.
Billing Note
Phone numbers are billed monthly in advance. If you release a number mid-month, you will not receive a prorated refund for the remaining days. Plan your number purchases accordingly.
