Setup Steps
In Calendly, go to Account Settings → Integrations → API & Webhooks. Generate a Personal Access Token and copy it. This token gives Live Bots 365 read/write access to your calendar — keep it secure.
In your assistant's configuration, go to Tools → Add Tool and select 'Calendly Booking' from the built-in tools list.
Paste your Calendly Personal Access Token. The platform will connect to your account and load your event types.
Choose the Calendly event type the assistant should use for bookings. This should be the meeting format most relevant to the calls your assistant handles.
Update the tool description to match your use case. For example: 'Use this tool when the caller wants to schedule a demo, consultation, or discovery call.'
Run a test conversation and verify that the assistant successfully retrieves available slots, presents them naturally, and creates a confirmed booking in Calendly.
Note on Calendly Plan Requirements
Calendly's API access is only available on Professional plans and above. If you are on the free Calendly plan, you will need to upgrade before this integration will work. Alternatively, consider using the Cal.com integration, which offers API access on its free tier.
